Nature Walks

Clay Street Center is directly across the street from the Flat River Trail. When the weather is nice, we love to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Staff and volunteers accompany our members throughout the walk. The trail offers a great place to get some exercise, with benches to stop and rest along the way.

Musical Events

Music is a great way to relax and have fun!  We offer musical performances two or three times a week at the center.  Our members love listening to the different musicians and often sing along.

Some artists play the piano at Clay Street Center while others bring their own instruments to entertain us.  Many donate their time and talent.

If you are interested in sharing your musical talents with us, please visit our volunteer page.

Games and Crafts

Our Life Enrichment Coordinator is always looking for new and creative ideas for arts, crafts and other projects for our members.  She has many years of experience working with older adults and an abundance of patience. Our team has a knack for discovering what each member enjoys.  It may be painting a bird house, putting a puzzle together, decorating a cake, doing a group crossword puzzle or sipping coffee and chatting, Dawn will make it happen.

Holiday Celebrations

We love the opportunity to throw a party!  No event is too small.

Our holiday celebrations involve themed snacks, crafts, music, and lots of fun! Costumes and special guest visits are also common.

We don't want our members to miss out on any of life's little pleasures.

Day Outings

Day outings were a favorite of ours.  It is always nice to get a change of scenery and learn something new.

Some of these outings included Klackle Orchards, Heritage Village, and Frederik Meijer Gardens.

Unfortunately, day outings have been on hold since COVID-19 and the loss of our transportation.
